Biography

Kuang S. Yeh is Professor of Organization Management. Currently, he is taking leave and serves as a deputy minister of the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan.

Professor Yeh is the author of six well-recognized general management text books (in Chinese) and more than 50 academic articles. His research has been published in journals including Harvard Business Review, American Journal of Sociology, Journal of World Business, and International Business Review. His current research interests are in family business and entrepreneurship, governance structures in Taiwan’s high tech industry, and organization growth and change in Mainland China’s private enterprises.

Professor Yeh has been a member of the board directors for a number of major Taiwanese companies. He is a co-founder and was Executive Director of Eztravel.com.tw and Startravel.com.tw, both leaders in on-line travel sites in Taiwan. Between 2000 and 2001, Professor Yeh served as Chief Operations Officer for Pacific Broadband Corporation, the third largest multiple cable systems operator in Taiwan.

Professor Yeh served as Director of the Graduate Institute of communication Management at National Sun Yat-Sen University during 1999. Prior to joining National Sun Yat-Sen University in 1991, he was held an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor at State University of New York at Stony Brook. During the academic year of 2005, he was a Visiting Professor at Shanghai’s Fudan University and Beijing’s Tsinghua University. In addition to his academic writing Professor Yeh is a columnist for leading business journals in Taiwan such as, Commonwealth Magazine, Economic Daily News, and Commercial Times.

Born in Hualian, Taiwan, Professor Yeh has a BA in Political Science from National Taiwan University, an MPA from University of Delaware, and a Ph.D. in Organization Theory and Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University.
